Hiro Yamaoto left Soundgarden in 1989 to return to school. A year later, he hooked up with drummer Mark Pickerell of Screaming Trees, guitarist Chris Quinn and vocalist Robert Roth and formed "Truly". After their first EP in 1991, "Heart and Lungs" on Sub Pop, Chris Quinn departed the band. It wasn't until 1995 that they released their first full length album on Capitol records titled “Fast Stroies from Kid Coma”.
