Hammerbox released it's debut on indie label C/Z Records in 1991. Their second album was released on, but unfortunately not given the support by, A&M Records. After the label dropped them, Akre left to form Goodness in 1994. After which, she formed her own record label, Good-Ink Records. They reunited for one show in May 2004, for a sold out show at Seattle's Experience Music Project's Skychurch.
